Go Figure!

What should be the first miracle I would perform if I had the capacity to do just anything? I mean if I had the opportunity to do some supernatural miracles and wonders. I would probably have thought about my reputation. How would the rumors about the situation be? What would people think and believe? How would I be understood?

Jesus made wine from plain water. He used water from the cleaning jars. At least it was good wine. “Some oak? I think it has been on oak.” Imagine the wine taster. He didn’t know where it came from. He just knew it was a refill, a new type. They had already run out of wine.

Where I come from a wedding is a disaster if you run out of cake. It will never happen. There has to be enough cake. If I was to do a miracle in that area it would have to involve cake. The cakes would be amazing. I guess. It would save the party.

It was different in Cana:
‘They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.”
What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.’

I wonder what signs I would have done to demonstrate my excellence. I am happy Jesus was not born in my culture.

Jesus is no party pooper.
